LWVDC at Arlington County Detention Facility with the Frederick Douglass Project
About this event
The Frederick Douglass Project helps demystify the justice system and those impacted by it by taking community members into correctional facilities to have curated conversations with incarcerated people. This is what you can expect from the experience:

A 2.5 hour in-person program including group discussions and a facility tour.

Guided conversations facilitated by trained staff using proven techniques to encourage respectful and meaningful dialogue.

Meaningful dialogue with select incarcerated individuals.

A chance to see the justice system firsthand and gain a new perspective on those directly impacted by it.
This facility is accessible from the Courthouse stop on the orange and silver lines of the metro. Side street and paid parking is also available.
